Celebrating Life

What a fun time I had celebrating my 49th and marking the occasion of our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I had all the people close to us, people we care about and people who care about us all in one place celebrating GATSBY STYLE. One of my favorite books that I studied at university. Fortuneately my life has not been one of emptiness like that of Gatsby, but Andre and I can look back and say ours has truly been a grace journey. We would not be where we are today if our lives were not marked with the Grace of a loving Father who has shaped us, moulded us, tested us and refined us through fire. I can truly say that I love this man with all my heart. It has not been an easy journey but it has been worth the heartache and tears at times the pushing through with child like faith at times when we could not see the wood for the trees. As we celebrated 25 years we look back in awe at the hand of God over every circumstance and situation we have faced. We can truly say we are blessed to have have friends walk this journey with us. How lovely to have celebrated with many of the people that are pictured here who have walked our journey from the beginning, and some like my three school friends who have been there even before I embarked on this journey. To my servant hearted hard working husband I love you to the moon and back and then some more. Thank you for providing for the children and I even when you had to sell the very clothing off your back! You are an amazing father to Ashleigh, Jason and Jesse. You have given them the very best education. You have supported me through many difficult times. I think of that song "When God made you He must have been thinking about me" To my three children, you have made mom so proud. You are all so unique and different in your own way and I love each of you equally and yet different because you are each different yet connected as siblings. Thank you for having made motherhood such an amazing journey for me.
I look forward to where new and exciting times as we move into a different phase of our lives with adult children I continue to trust God each and every day as we do life. Let us be a family that is worthy of our Great God. And as I journey forward into new and exciting things i am so grateful for those of you who continue to walk this journey with us.
